Millearne and the Piper Family

Millearne has been in the Piper family since 1800, and is home today to Donald, his son Adam, his daughter Melissa and her husband Ollie and their baby son Archie. The original house was built in 1823 and since then has been demolished twice and was re-built by the Piper family in 2006 as the magnificent Georgian replica that it is today.

A welcoming family home with constant visitors in and out, and with views over soft rolling hills, it is a very embracing and warm place to live. Melissa and Ollie were married at Millearne in 2017 and they are now in the development and planning stage of building their own house within one of the walled gardens. It is lovely to think that history repeats itself and that the next generation will continue to live on the estate.

Melissa will be the point of contact for you at Millearne, and she understands completely how all consuming organising a wedding can be. It was Melissa and Ollie’s wedding in 2017 that gave the family the idea of opening their magnificent gardens to other couples who want a stunning exclusive Perthshire wedding venue on their special day.
